Faded Scars

Out the window my eyes never stray,
Thinking thoughts of yesterday.
Days that have past and days to come
While those around me chat away.

I sit and think, and in my ear,
I hear the screams of a man I wish to meet.
"Let shadows die, so i can feel alive."

With every word, every cord.
The shadows with in me are beaten back,
But never die.

An endless battle with an eternal foe,
Fight back the blade that brings the red crimson flow

Faded scars, healed scars,
Arms and wrist and legs.
All reminders of my bloody past.

Fallen Angles Saved my life,
Kept me from my coffin.
Saved me from myself.
